A little summer sixteen inspo

Get some Friday Funspiration!
AIt’s the first week of June and already it feels like summer! And that’s what I’ve been daydreaming about this week. Enjoy!

Summer lickin’ had me a blast – It’s that time of year when ice cream cravings are on the rise and, just like doughnuts and milkshakes, the people want more than just the standard. If you’re in Toronto, bang bang ice cream & bakery serves ice cream flavours like Cinnamon Toast and London Fog, and they’ll even smoosh your choice between two of their fresh made cookies. One artisan ice cream sammy for me, please!

Treehouse life – I got back from Florida two weeks ago, but I’m still thinking about walking through the incredible Swiss Family Robinson tree house at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Growing up, I always wanted my own tree house – a little oasis just for me and my closest friends, complete with multiple levels and a secret password needed to enter. A little digging shows they’re not just for kids anymore. Now, if only my condo had a backyard.

Pineapple power – I thought the summer cuteness scale had maxed out with doughnut pool floaties and flamingo-themed parties. And then these fruit drink floaties came along. Now, I can lie on a pineapple pool floaty wearing pineapple shades, while my Pina Colada floats close by in its own pineapple floaty. Mind is officially blown.

Summer sixteen anthem – I guess I’m not the only one expecting (and hoping) to hear a lot of Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” this summer. Like my 2015 summer jam, “Shut Up and Dance”, this song makes me smile and, you guessed it, want to get up and dance. Do you see a pattern here?

Warm sand, pink polished toes – A weekend on the water is a summer staple in Canada (followed by campfires, s’mores and Caesars) and I would love to dig my toes into the beautiful beaches at Sandbanks Provincial Park. Post-swim, charming Prince Edward County is nearby for yummy food and cold drinks.
